When selecting the right security camera, there are many things to consider and resolution is one of the most important. You want to use a resolution that will deliver the right level of quality and you can determine if your camera will meet your security needs by asking yourself the following questions:
Can I determine the general activity in the area?
Can I recognize someone I know?
Can I identify someone I don’t know?
Below is an example of a 720p surveillance camera image. There is an incredible amount of detail in the field of view for determining general activity, but the distance is too great for recognition or identification.
